“Kul delivered Introduction to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training to a group of newly elected and returning county councillors.
This was a well-received training course; all attendees rated it highly and would recommend to colleagues. The councillors found it encouraged them to think differently about diversity and inclusion and how it impacts on their work.”
Julian Roadnight
College of Policing
“The programme lit a fire, a passion for development and learning, which I enjoy sharing with anyone who will listen! As a result of PeDALS, I was asked if I wanted to be a reverse mentor in a new pilot the organisation was trialling. It was refreshing to be approached and recognised for my skills and abilities, and the pilot was enlightening to take part in."

“I highly recommend Kul Verma as a Training Consultant. During 2014/15 as Deputy Chief Constable for Gloucestershire Police, I was the national lead for Mounted Policing and engaged Kul to strategically review National Police Mounted Training in England and Wales. Kul is a organised and articulate consultant that stimulates change and drives forwards strategy making real change. The training received was of the highest level.”
Rebecca Hodgson
Undergraduate Programmes Manager,
Lancaster Medical School
“Over the course of the three coaching sessions with Kul, I have found the experience both challenging and highly reflective. As part of the Alexandra Programme, the sessions have encouraged me to step back from the day-to-day demands of my role and take time to consider my leadership style, values and future aspirations.
Kul created a supportive environment while also challenging my assumptions and encouraging me to think more deeply about my approaches to leadership, influencing and personal development. The coaching conversations have helped me gain greater self-awareness and identify practical actions that I can take forward in both my professional and personal life.
I have found myself using several of the practical strategies discussed in our sessions, and they have helped me navigate challenges, approach conversations differently and be more intentional in my leadership practice."

Usman Nawaz
Head of Culture & Staff Experience,
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust
“North West Ambulance Service commissioned Deep Insight to design and deliver Beyond Bias – a highly interactive training programme exploring bias, prejudice, and privilege for almost 1,000 managers and people leaders.
Delivered by Dr Kul Verma as a half-day workshop to small groups of 10–15 participants, the programme ran from October 2022 to May 2024.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive (94% Net Promotor Score), with participants consistently describing the sessions as engaging, insightful, and highly beneficial.
Throughout delivery, Kul was responsive, adaptable, and a trusted partner. When demand increased mid-programme, he swiftly developed a scalable delivery model that enabled us to reach more staff in a significantly shorter timeframe. Working within emergency services means schedules can change at short notice, whenever sessions were disrupted or curtailed, Kul demonstrated exceptional flexibility, adapting at pace to keep the programme on track and ensure delivery targets were met.”
